The babies donated their little “game tv” to a friend over Christmas. They didn’t really notice until earlier this week – it was kinda funny watching Xak sit there with the red and white component cords in his hands, trying to figure out what part of the process was missing, and not really realizing that you can’t play arcade games without a screen. Yesterday, Sue and George solved his little problem in a big way. Needless to say, a home tv this size did not exist when I was his age. And in 1980, when Pac Man came out, the younger me who dumped his quarters into a standup arcade machine (with a screen only 224 × 288 pixels) would not have believed that there would be a future in which this machine would sit in his own living room. The future is pretty darn cool…
